The untapped potential of women in industrial development represents a significant opportunity for economic growth and innovation. Despite making up nearly half of the global workforce, women remain underrepresented in many industrial sectors, particularly in technical and leadership roles. The transition to a green economy can also serve as a major driver for women's empowerment. Under the “Decarbonization of the Cement and Concrete Sectors in Thailand” project funded by the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), UNIDO is making a tangible difference.

On March 5, 2025, our Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) funded project: Decarbonization of the Cement and Concrete Sectors in Thailand held its third Project Task Team meeting in Bangkok. The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Teeratas Israngkul Na Ayudhya, Deputy Director General of the Department of Industrial Works and Mr. Pavich Kesavawong, Deputy Director General of the Department of Climate Change and Environment.
